Go Beachcombing For Treasure, Get Wowed By Waves Crashing on Rocks
Beachcombing is an adventure in itself. You never know what you will find on the beach. As the sands shift during a storm, they reveal various shells and the secret of the sand dollar. The currents and tides bring in driftwood and occasionally a glass float from Japan. The turbulent waves create interesting patterns in the sand. The beaches are strewn with the giant bull kelp. Sometimes whole kelp plants, roots and all, are torn away from their rocky hold and strewn about the shore. Please remember to keep well back from the ocean during mid-storm, the sea is at its most powerful and its waves can rush quickly towards the shore.
