Activities abound on the West Coast. Ucluelet offers kayaking, whale watching, bear watching and bird watching. Boat cruises are a wonderful way to view the area as is a scenic flight. Hiking the Wild Pacific Trail takes you along the ocean where you get a great look at the ocean front and a chance to sit upon bench, drink a coffe and keep a look out for whales. Fishing is popluar in Ucluelet and on the West Coast and there are many local guides. Both Wickanninish Beach and Long Beach are close for surfing, beach walks and picnics along the Pacific Rim of Canada.
